According to Clause 1, Article 33 of Decree 01/2021/ND-CP, within 3 working days from receiving a valid application, the Business Registration Office will issue the Enterprise Registration Certificate.
If the application is incomplete or the company name does not comply with regulations, the registration authority must notify in writing the necessary amendments or supplements within 3 working days from the date of receipt.

Therefore, to establish a representative office, the business must have a legally registered parent company or branch.
No. A representative office is not allowed to engage in direct business. It may only carry out activities such as introducing and promoting products/services, market research, and trade promotion on behalf of the parent company or branch in Vietnam. Any profit-generating activities, such as signing sales contracts or providing services, must be conducted through the parent company or branch.
